Swallowing her whole,

she can’t escape the barrage

hurtful words pierce through

but there’s no visible bruise;

if she could only forget

How I would love to gather my thoughts

But they’re leaves in the blowing wind

Around and around they go

Until the wind dies down

On the ground they stay

As they decay

One by one

They die
